Keepers

November 12, 2016 ~ G. Paul Randall

no saffron sunrise is mine
to offer, but take it anyway

clever schemes, trading floor of dreams
the me, with my and mine it seems

I spring the trap each day but pray
please take it, take it all away

I hold it like I own it all
but Lord, I cannot pay
